October’s Welcome: Market Reality as the Leaves Fall
The leaves have mostly tumbled down and you can sense it on every block—Fort McMurray is truly leaning into fall. Mornings are brisk, evenings have that cozy, early-dark feeling, and everywhere you look neighbours are swapping stories about hockey schedules, Thanksgiving recipes, and—of course—the market.
This week more than ever I’ve been hearing real conversations at the rink benches, brew pubs, and after-school pickups:
-
“Should we still expect to see offers coming in this late?”
-
“If our listing didn’t move in September, is it really smart to wait out until spring?”
-
“How picky are buyers about condition and upgrades as winter closes in?”
If you find yourself watching the listings and wondering what’s actually making homes move right now, pull up a chair. Here’s the real story, neighbour to neighbour.
